Set in the heart of Rome, Gaia Pilates Roma is a boutique Pilates studio near the Botanical Garden, in the ancient Trastevere neighborhood. Gaia Pilates Roma is devoted to offering the very best standard of Classical Pilates and a program that is designed specifically for each of our client's needs and goals. Gaia Faggiani
Gaia runs "Gaia Pilates Rome" as Director/Owner, She started her interest in 'Body Movement' since her childhood, from Classic Ballet to Modern Dance, through Callanetics, Shiatsu, Tai-Chi, Gyrotonic, and finally approaching Pilates with the best 1st generation teachers as Romana Kryzanowska, direct heir of Joe Pilates, and Jay Grimes. In 2006 Gaia was certified by Romana Kryzanowska, in New York. In 2013 Gaia was selected and certified for the program The Work at Vintage Pilates in Los Angeles. In 2016 Gaia was selected and completed Kathi Ross Nash’s The Red Thread PPATT. Gaia is a teacher member of Pilatesology with videos taught in Italian.
Over the years Gaia has methodically continued to attend workshops and training courses around the world with the best and greatest Pilates teachers such as: Romana Kryzanowska, Jay Grimes, Sari Mejia Santos, Lolita San Miguel, Kathi Ross Nash, Moses Urbano, Cynthia Lochard, Jerome Weinberg, MeJo Wiggin, Brooke Siler, Lori Coleman-Brown, Javier Perez Pont, Alycea Ungaro, Karen Frischmann, Sandy Shimoda, Chris Robinson, Junghee Won, and Peter Fiasca.
Marisella Cruz
A native of Arizona, Marisella lived and worked as a model in New York City for seven years before moving to Rome in 2012. She discovered Pilates while searching for relief from persistent and painful sciatica and fell in love. Hoping to help others find the relief and strength that Pilates gave her, she completed her teacher certification from Core Pilates NYC in April 2014. Since then Pilates has helped her to get through many other physical challenges and her belief in the system continues to grow. She also received her 200 hour certification to teach yoga in March 2016. She teaches Privates, duets and mat at Gaia Pilates Roma.
